NSMQ 2026: Brains Battle Across Bono and Ahafo, with wins for Berekum SHS, Serwaa Kesse Girls’ SHS, Mim SHS and PRESEC, Bechem

The NSMQ action came alive in both the Bono and Ahafo regions on Saturday 1st August, 2026, where schools faced off in contests marked by tension, determination, and flashes of brilliance. From Berekum to Bechem, the quiz stage delivered winners who earned their place through focus and steady command of the questions.

Berekum SHS takes control in final Bono Qualifier of Contest Five

Berekum SHS delivered a commanding performance to top the contest with 47 points, ahead of Berekum Presby SHS, which finished with 25 points. Chiraa SHS followed with 17 points in a contest that Berekum SHS clearly dominated.

Serwaa Kesse Girls’ SHS leads the way in Ahafo's Contest One

Serwaa Kesse Girls’ SHS emerged victorious with 37 points, ahead of Acherensua SHS on 22 points. Gyamfi Kumanini SHTS finished with 20 points, while Hwidiem SHS ended the contest with 0.

Mim SHS keeps the pace in Contest Two of the Ahafo region

Mim SHS powered through to win with 40 points, with OLA Girls’ SHS, Kenyasi following on 29 points. Ahafoman SHTS closed the contest with 22 points after a lively contest.

PRESEC, Bechem edges it in Ahafo's Third Contest

PRESEC, Bechem came out on top with 28 points, while Samuel Otu Presby SHS scored 21 points. Sankore SHS completed the lineup with 9 points.

The Regional Qualifiers continue on Sunday, August 2, 2026 with contests in the Bono East, Volta and Greater Accra regions. A total of 30 Top Runners-Up nationwide still stand the chance to qualify for the National Championship.
