NSMQ 2026: Ashanti Region’s Final Day Delivers Fire, Thrills, and Fierce School Pride

The final day of contests in the Ashanti Region brought the kind of heat NSMQ fans live for: tight early exchanges, bold comebacks, and commanding wins that kept the hall buzzing till the end. From dominant displays to determined efforts, the day wrapped up with Tepa SHS, Kumasi High School and Yaa Asantewaa Girls' SHS leaving everything on the floor in pursuit of glory.

Kumasi High School take top spot in Contest 20

The day began with a thrilling contest where Kumasi High School won with 58 points, showing class and composure when it mattered most. Asanteman SHS kept close with 50 points, while Mansoman SHS managed 30 points, Obuasi SHTS posted 15 points, and Parkoso Community Day SHS completed the field with 9 points.

Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS stand tall in Contest 21

In Contest 21, Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS delivered a strong performance to finish on top with 48 points. Ghana Muslim Mission SHS followed with 29 points, New Edubiase SHS had 26 points, Dompoase SHS scored 10 points, and Beposo SHS ended with 5 points.

Tepa SHS march on with authority in Contest 19

After some late withdrawals, Contest 19 took place at the end of the last day with Mansoman SHS joining as a Top Runner-up.

Tepa SHS stamped their authority on Contest 19 with a convincing 67 points, leaving little room for doubt about their quality on the day. Agogo State College followed with 19 points, while Mansoman SHS settled for 15 points in a contest that saw Tepa SHS control the pace from start to finish.

It was a fitting end to the Ashanti Region contests — a day of grit, brilliance, and school pride, with Tepa SHS, Kumasi High School, and Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS all emerging with memorable wins. The Regional Qualifiers continue on Friday, July 31, 2026 with contests in the Bono and Greater Accra regions.
