The 2026 edition of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) will be officially launched today, Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the GNAT Hall in Accra, at 3:00 p.m. The event will set the stage for this year’s National Championship, which will see 174 schools battle for the coveted title of National Science & Maths Quiz 2026 Champion, as well as the honour and bragging rights that come with it. The participating schools comprise 27 seeded schools, including one private school;

Esaase Bontefufuo SHTS, Juaben SHS, Our Lady of Mercy SHS and SDA SHS, Gomoa will participate in a tie-breaker contest in Accra this Wednesday, August 12, 2026 to select the final two Top Runners-up to progress to the Preliminary Stage.
