Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS Edges Northern School of Business in Nerve-Wracking Tie-Breaker!

The auditorium came alive with thunderous cheers as contestants from Attafuah SHTS, introduced themselves with bold confidence, promising to “change the face of the game.” Serwaa Nyarko Girls, on the other hand, returned with renewed determination after losing at the Preliminary Stage last year. They, too, introduced themselves with poise, assuring everyone to expect nothing short of a positive change in their performance this year.

This thrilling contest featured Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS, Northern School of Business, and Attafuah SHTS.

The opening question set the tone, a bonus rightly answered by the first-timers, Attafuah SHTS, sparking wild celebrations among their supporters. But the promising Serwaa Nyarko girls quickly gathered momentum, displaying confidence and composure as the round progressed.

At the end of Round One, Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS led with an impressive 20 points, Northern School of Business followed with 12 points, while Attafuah SHTS trailed with 11 points.

Round Two, the “Trustur AI Speed Race,” was expected to test speed and agility, but the atmosphere was filled with caution. All three schools took their time, choosing accuracy over haste. When the round ended, Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS maintained their lead with 21 points, Northern School of Business followed closely with 17, and Attafuah SHTS pulled through with 16 points.


The tension deepened in Round Three, the “Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Problem of the Day.” Both Northern School of Business and Attafuah SHTS managed to secure one point each, while Serwaa Nyarko Girls were unable to add to their tally.


Round Four, the “Jupay Money Transfer True/False,” round tested the schools’ precision. The competition intensified as every answer could make or break their fate. By the end of the round, Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS extended their lead to 34 points, Northern School of Business followed with 28, while Attafuah SHTS was unfortunately disqualified for breaching competition rules.

In the fifth and final round, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, with Attafuah SHTS out, the battle was now between Serwaa Nyarko Girls and Northern School of Business. Both teams fought fiercely, matching each other, point for point with a dramatic tie at 34. More questions were introduced to break the tie, the tension in the hall became palpable. Palms were sweaty, hearts raced, and the audience held their breath.

Finally, at the sound of the last bell, Serwaa Nyarko Girls delivered the correct answer, putting them ahead of Northern School of Business!

The hall erupted in celebration as the girls of Serwaa Nyarko SHS secured their well-deserved place in the One-eighth Stage of the 2025 National Championship, a triumphant redemption, true to their promise of a stronger comeback.
