SGS Auditorium - October 19, 2024
The second contest at the SGS Auditorium on Day One of One-eighth Stage saw Adonten SHS emerging as the winner of the contest with 50 points after beating West Africa SHS and Kumasi Sec. Tech. School. They qualified to the Quarter-final Stage of the contest while their opponents were sadly left behind.
At the start of the contest, Adonten SHS expressed their hope of finishing as the seeded school, and they successfully achieved this feat.
They took the lead from the first round, despite facing strong competition from West African SHS, who followed them closely. The third competing school, Kumasi Sec. Tech. School, finished with just six point.
In Round Two, the Prudential Insurance Speed Race, all the competing schools put in their best efforts to increase their scores. It was a challenging round, but Adonten SHS managed to maintain their advantage.
In Round Three, the Problem of the Day, the scores were as follows: Adonten SHS secured 24 points, West African SHS earned 23 points, and Kumasi Sec. Tech. School finished with 17 points.
Despite West African SHS’s determined attempts to surpass Adonten SHS, they could only finish with 36 points by the end of the Round Four, Jupay True /False. Meanwhile, Adonten answered all their questions correctly in this round.
In the final round, Kumasi Sec. Tech. School and West African SHS were unable to answer any of the riddles, allowing Adonten SHS to cement their position as the competition's winner.
Adonten SHS also secured the Goil Riddle Bonanza after successfully answering three out of the four questions.
