NSMQ 2026 Regional Qualifiers to be held after WASSCE

Traditionally, the Regional Competitions of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) are held before the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) each year.
However, following a review of the WASSCE calendar and subsequent consultations with the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS), the schedule for the 2026 Regional Competitions has been revised.
To allow candidates to focus fully on their examinations, the Regional Competitions will now be held after WASSCE, followed immediately by the National Championship.
