NSMQ 2026: Presby SHS, Bompata Powers into One-eighth Stage!

The second contest of the Preliminary Stage contest featured, Presby SHS, Bompata, Mansen SHS and Sacred Heart SHS. Moderated by Quiz Mistress Dr Thelma Ohene-Agyei, the contest kept supporters engaged as the three schools battled through a series of science and mathematics questions.

In the end, Presby SHS, Bompata surged ahead to finish with 58 points, followed by Sacred Heart SHS with 39 points and debutants, Mansen SHS with seven points.

The contest began with Presby SHS, Bompata making the strongest start in Round One with an early lead with 22 points. Sacred Heart SHS followed with 15 points, while debutants, Mansen SHS, struggled to find their footing, managing two points.

The Truster AI Speed Race Round brought renewed energy to the auditorium as the schools tackled the True or False questions with speed and precision. Presby SHS, Bompata, again emerged as the dominant side in the round, clinching most of the questions and sending their supporters into loud cheers. By the end of the round, Presby SHS, Bompata had amassed 35 points, while Sacred Heart SHS added just one point to move to 16. Mansen SHS was unable to add to its tally and remained on two points.

The Prudential Life Insurance (Problem of the Day) Round featured a physics question. Sacred Heart SHS produced a strong performance, solving the problem correctly to earn eight out of the available 10 points.

Presby SHS, Bompata partially solved the problem and secured seven points while Mansen SHS managed three points.

The Jupay Money (Transfer True or False) Round saw Presby SHS, Bompata maintain their dominance, answering most of the questions correctly to extend their lead to 49 points. Sacred Heart SHS also made progress and moved to 36 points, while Mansen SHS added five points to raise their tally to seven.

With victory within reach, Presby SHS, Bompata entered the GOIL Riddle Bonanza Round with a comfortable lead. They sealed the contest by answering three out of the four riddles correctly, finishing the round with 58 points and securing the GOIL Riddle Bonanza Award of GH₵800.

Sacred Heart SHS managed to answer one riddle correctly and finished the contest with 39 points, while debutants, Mansen SHS, ended their first NSMQ appearance with seven points.
