NSMQ 2026: Accra Academy Narrowly Beats Holy Child and Senya SHS to Reach Quarter-finals!

Main Auditorium – August 28, 2026 The contest between Accra Academy, Holy Child School and Senya Senior High School, kept the audience on edge as the three schools battled fiercely for supremacy, with the lead changing hands and the margins remaining tight across the five rounds.

The tension was evident from the opening round as Senya SHS came out strongly to establish an early advantage. They recorded 17 points, just two points ahead of Accra Academy’s 15 points, while Holy Child School opened with 11 points. The close scores immediately set the tone for a competitive contest.


In Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, Senya SHS extended its lead with 20 points. Accra Academy and Holy Child School both managed 15 points, keeping the contest within reach and leaving the audience anticipating another shift in fortunes.

That shift came in Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star – Problem of the Day. Accra Academy produced a strong performance to take 23 points, narrowly edging Holy Child School, who scored 22 points. Senya SHS followed closely with 20 points.

With the scores tightening, excitement continued to build as the schools entered the Jupay Money Transfer True/False Round. Accra Academy and Senya SHS both recorded 36 points, while Holy Child School stayed within striking distance on 34 points. Senya SHS, however, delivered a clean performance in the round to claim the Jupay Clean Sheet, earning GH₵700.

The achievement added another highlight to an already tense contest and drew further excitement from the audience.


The final GOIL Riddle Bonanza provided another opportunity for the schools to make their mark. Accra Academy finished strongly with 43 points, followed by Holy Child School with 40 points and Senya SHS with 36 points.


The contest provided plenty of moments for the audience to react, with every correct answer, missed opportunity and change in the scores adding to the tension. The narrow margins between the schools kept supporters watching closely as the teams pushed through each round.

With all three schools demonstrating determination and resilience, the contest proved to be a battle of consistency, quick thinking and composure, with Accra Academy finishing strongly while Senya SHS and Holy Child School remained competitive throughout. ROUND 1
