NSMQ 2025: Sogakope SHS Books Slot in One-eighth Stage with 57 Points

The final contest of the day saw Sogakope Senior High School put on a commanding performance to triumph over Manya Krobo SHS and St. Joseph’s SHS. The thrilling contest ended with Sogakope SHS accumulating an impressive 57 points, securing their qualification in the One-eighth Stage of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz.

In the first round, Sogakope SHS set a blistering pace, confidently answering most of the general knowledge questions to take the lead with 22 points. Manya Krobo SHS followed closely with 19 points, while St. Joseph’s SHS struggled to find their footing, trailing with just 3 points.
In Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, Sogakope SHS maintained their dominance, adding four more points to reach 26, while Manya Krobo SHS managed just a single point, ending the round at 20 points. St. Joseph’s SHS remained silent throughout the round, holding on to their initial 3 points.

The highlight of the contest came in Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Problem of the Day. Sogakope SHS solved the problem perfectly, earning the maximum 10 points and the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Award, worth GH¢2,000. Manya Krobo SHS scored four points, and St. Joseph’s SHS picked up three points.
Sogakope SHS maintained their momentum in Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True or False, where Redeemer, substituting for Joseph, showcased impressive precision by correctly answering seven out of eight questions. Their stellar performance added 15 points to their tally, extending their lead to 51 points, while Manya Krobo SHS and St. Joseph’s SHS followed with 37 and 11 points, respectively.
The contest ended with the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, in which Sogakope answered two riddles correctly to seal their victory with 57 points. Manya Krobo SHS added six points to end with 43 points, while St. Joseph’s SHS remained at 11 points.
For their outstanding performance, Sogakope SHS booked a spot in the One-eighth Stage and walked away with the Pepsodent Highest Scorer Award of GH¢1,000, bringing their total cash prize to GH¢3,000.
