NSMQ 2025: Opoku Ware School Advances to the Semi-finals with 62 Points!

The auditorium was filled with chants and jama songs, cheering up contestants from Accra Academy and Opoku Ware School as they mounted the stage. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and anticipation for the final contest of the day.

 

In Round One, Opoku Ware School picked up the pace by seizing bonus points from Aburi Girls and Accra Academy, putting them in the lead. Each correct answer from the Opoku Ware boys was met with a round of applause from their supporters. At the end of Round One, Opoku Ware answered most questions correctly earning them 26 points. Accra Academy followed with 17 points while Aburi Girls trailed with 14 points.

In Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, the competition intensified between Opoku Ware School and Accra Academy as both teams grappled to give the right answers. Each ring of the bell silenced the auditorium until an answer was given. The OWASS boys once again seized as many points as possible in this round, finishing with 42 points. Accra Academy followed with 25 points, while Aburi Girls’ SHS maintained 14 points.


In Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Problem of the Day, Opoku Ware School achieved a perfect score of 10 points, earning them the title of Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star worth GH₵2,800. Aburi Girls’ SHS secured eight points, while Accra Academy ended the round with no score.

In Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True or False round, Accra Academy and Aburi Girls’ SHS sought redemption by answering all their questions correctly. Opoku Ware School, on the other hand, struggled, missing most of their attempts. Despite this, they maintained their lead with 59 points, while Accra Academy closed in with 38 points, and Aburi Girls’ SHS followed with 35 points.


In the fifth and final round, Opoku Ware School sealed their victory, answering one question correctly to finish the contest with 62 points, booking a spot in the Semi-final Stage of the competition.

Opoku Ware School also earned 500 for answering one question correctly in the GOIL Super Bonanza, GH₵ 2,800 for the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star award and GH₵ 2,400 from the MoMo Money Zone.

Accra Academy won the GOIL Super Bonanza award worth GH₵ 1,000 and for answering two questions correctly and GH₵ 1,760 from the MoMo Money Zone.

Aburi Girls’ won the GOIL Super Bonanza award worth GH₵ 500 for answering one riddle correctly and GH₵ 1,520 from the MoMo Money Zone.
