NSMQ 2025: OLAG Storms into One-eighth Stage with an Outstanding 71 Points!

Our Lady of Grace Senior High School, one of the private schools competing in this year’s National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ), delivered a remarkable performance to secure their place in the One-eighth Stage. The team amassed an impressive 71 points, the highest score of the day, earning them the Pepsodent Highest Scorer Award worth GH₵1,000.

The contest, which featured Our Lady of Grace SHS, Benkum SHS, and Prampram SHS, started with a fierce battle between Our Lady of Grace SHS and Benkum SHS, with both schools going head-to-head in the first round. The round ended with Our Lady of Grace SHS leading with 24 points, Benkum SHS following closely with 20 points, and Prampram SHS, a new entrant in the competition, managing 15 points.

In the Trustur AI Speed Race, Round Two, Our Lady of Grace SHS surged ahead, adding an impressive 25 points to raise their total to 49. Benkum SHS trailed with 24 points, while Prampram SHS slipped to 14 points.

Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star (Problem of the Day), saw an exceptional display from Benkum SHS, who achieved a perfect score of 10 out of 10, winning the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Award worth GH₵2,000. Our Lady of Grace followed with six out of 10, and Prampram SHS scored four.

Our Lady of Grace SHS once again showcased dominance in the Jupay Money Transfer True or False, Round Four, as they answered seven out of eight questions correctly, stretching their lead to 68 points. Benkum SHS fought hard to close the gap, ending the round with 44 points, while Prampram SHS accumulated 28 points.

In the final round, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, all three schools managed to solve two riddles each. This brought the final tally to 71 points for Our Lady of Grace SHS, 50 for Benkum SHS, and 31 for Prampram SHS.

At the end of the contest, Our Lady of Grace SHS booked a seat in the One-eighth and made a strong statement as one of the leading private schools in the National Championship. Their 71-point finish stands as the highest score of the day, a performance that truly lived up to their name.
