NSMQ 2025: OLAG SHS Boots Out Bishop Herman to Reach Quarter-finals for the First Time!

Our Lady of Grace Senior High School, a private institution, has secured a spot in the Quarter-final Stage of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz for the first time after defeating Bishop Herman College, a seeded school, and Ejisuman SHS with an impressive total of 56 points.

Round One saw a strong start from Bishop Herman College and Our Lady of Grace SHS when they tied at 18 points, followed closely by Ejisuman with 15 points.

In the “Trustur AI Speed Race”, Our Lady of Grace SHS surged ahead with 39 points. Bishop Herman struggled to maintain momentum due to incorrect answers and remained with 18 points. Ejisuman SHS added two points to gain 17 points.

During the “Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star” Round, Bishop Herman College made a strong start, applying the correct formula in the Physics Problem of the Day. However, they faltered on the third question and ended the round with five points. Our Lady of Grace SHS struggled, managing only one point after using an incorrect formula, while Ejisuman SHS failed to score.

By the end of the “JuPay Money Transfer True or False” Round, Our Lady of Grace had answered most of the questions and had increased to 50 points.  Bishop Herman bounced back to gain 36 while Ejisuman added 10 points to score 27.

In the "GOIL Riddle Bonanza", Our Lady of Grace answered two riddles. Bishop Herman solved one riddle.   

Our Lady of Grace won the contest with 56 points. Bishop Herman had 39, which resulted in the loss of their seeded position. Ejisuman SHS earned a total of 27 points.
