NSMQ 2025: Koforidua Sec Tech Dominates Contest, Books Quarter-final Berth

Koforidua Secondary Technical School emerged victorious in their One-eighth contest against Ofori Panin SHS and Frafraha Community SHS. They won the contest with 38 points, maintained their seed, and booked a seat in the Quarter-finals of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz.
Round One began shakily for Ofori Panin SHS as they missed their first two attempts, allowing Koforidua Sec Tech to confidently claim the bonuses. By the end of the round, Ofori Panin SHS and Koforidua Sec Tech were tied at 15 points, while Frafraha Community SHS trailed with six points.
In Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, Koforidua Sec Tech quickly established their dominance, answering questions with speed and accuracy to extend their lead to 21 points. Ofori Panin SHS struggled to keep up, losing three points and dropping to 12, while Frafraha Community SHS fell to five points, unable to match the pace of their rivals.
The Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Round offered each school an opportunity to strengthen their position. None of the schools were able to solve the problem correctly. Ofori Panin SHS and Frafraha Community SHS earned one point each, while Koforidua Sec Tech failed to score.
Koforidua Sec Tech maintained their lead in the Jupay Money Transfer True or False Round, answering all but three questions. They extended their advantage to 34 points, while Ofori Panin SHS reached 26 points, leaving Frafraha Community SHS behind with 16 points.
In the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, Koforidua Sec Tech solved one riddle, adding four points to their score. Both Ofori Panin SHS and Frafraha Community SHS attempted riddles but were unsuccessful. Koforidua Sec Tech ultimately secured the win with 38 points. Ofori Panin SHS finished second with 26 points, while Frafraha Community SHS exited the competition with 16 points.
