NSMQ 2025: Ejisuman SHS Books Its First-Ever Slot in One-eighth Stage With 40 Points

Ejisuman SHS has earned its first-ever qualification to the One-eighth Stage of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Championship, scoring 40 points in a fiercely contested battle against Wallahs Academy, one of the private schools competing this year, and Adidome SHS.

The contest began on a steady note, with all three schools battling to take the lead. Ejisuman SHS soon took control, ending the first round in front with 23 points, followed by Wallahs Academy with 18 points and Adidome SHS with eight points.

In Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, Wallahs Academy made a determined effort to close the gap, adding three points to reach 21points. Ejisuman SHS, despite losing a point, held on to their lead with 22 points, while Adidome remained at eight points after also losing one.

Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star (Problem of the Day), tested the contestants’ analytical ability with a demanding physics problem. All three schools earned two out of 10 points, keeping the contest tight as Ejisuman SHS and Wallahs Academy moved to 24 and 23 points respectively, while Adidome progressed to 10 points.

The competition intensified in Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True or False, as all schools fought to strengthen their standings. Both Ejisuman SHS and Wallahs Academy added 10 points each, ending the round with 34 and 33 points, respectively. Adidome SHS also gained momentum, improving to 20 points.

The decisive moment came in Round Five, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, where Ejisuman SHS confidently solved two riddles, pushing their total to 40 points. Wallahs Academy, despite several attempts, failed to pick any riddle and remained at 33 points, while Adidome SHS finished with 23 points.

At the end of the thrilling five-round contest, Ejisuman SHS emerged victorious, booking a historic place in the One-eighth Stage of the National Championship for the very first time.
