NSMQ 2025: Chemu SHS Clinches One-eighth Stage Spot in Final Preliminary Contest

The final contest of the Preliminary Stage of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) featured Chemu Senior High School, first-timers Presbyterian Senior High School, Adeiso, and Zebilla Senior High Technical School. Chemu SHS wrapped up the stage with an outstanding display of brilliance and confidence, finishing with 65 points.

The atmosphere was calm yet charged with anticipation as Chemu SHS took an early lead in Round One with 24 points. Presbyterian SHS, Adeiso, followed with 14 points, while Zebilla SHTS managed 10 points.

Chemu SHS took most questions with utmost speed in the “Trustur AI Speed Race”. This caused cheers from their supporters as they set the pace with 41 points. Presby SHS,, Adeiso managed to add five points to move to 19, while Zebilla dropped a point to nine.

“The Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star” Problem of the Day featured a mathematics question, with Chemu and Zebilla SHTS earning two and one out of 10, respectively. Presby SHS Adeiso, however, struggled with the problem and failed to score in the round.

Their Dominance became evident in the “Jupay Money Transfer True/False” round, where Chemu SHS answered every question correctly, reaching 56 points. Finally, in the GOIL Riddle Bonanza round, they secured their victory by answering three riddles, finishing with 65 points. First timers Presby SHS, Adeiso, fought and ended with 32 points, while Zebilla SHTS finished with 17 points.

For their outstanding performance, they won the Pepsodent Highest Scorer Award of GH₵ 1000 and the GOIL Riddle Bonanza Award of GH₵800, making a total of GH₵1800.
