MANKRANSO SHS’ HERBERT ABUGBILLA ADELWIN SECURES A FULL SIX-YEAR MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP FROM ACCRA COLLEGE OF MEDICINE

Herbert Abugbilla Adelwin, a contestant from Mankranso Senior High School at the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has been awarded a full six-year medical school scholarship by the Accra College of Medicine, emerging top among 28 applicants.
Herbert, alongside his teammates Blessed Oforiwaa Nsiah and Augustine Manu Neyare, led Mankranso SHS on a remarkable journey to the semi-final stage of NSMQ 2025, defeating two Category A schools, Ghana National College and St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School, along the way.

Their outstanding performance earned Mankranso SHS its first-ever seeding in the competition. The school also received the Dr Kwaku Mensa-Bonsu Award for the Most Impressive Run, presented to the least-endowed school that progressed the furthest in the championship. The award came with a cash prize of GH¢7,000, while the teachers of Mankranso SHS received GH¢10,000 in recognition of their unwavering support.
Adding to the school’s success, Blessed Oforiwaa Nsiah was also awarded a full scholarship valued at US$40,000 to Academic City University College, further cementing Mankranso SHS’s impressive showing at the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz.
