In a momentous triumph that has sent ripples of excitement through the world of Ghanaian education and media, the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) programme, a cornerstone of intellectual excellence for three decades, clinched not one but two prestigious honours at the Chartered Institute of Marketing - Ghana (CIMG) Awards.
The resounding victory was celebrated with immense joy and appreciation as the NSMQ programme was named the 'TV Programme of the Year' and also crowned with the 'New Media Campaign of the Year' award at the star-studded event.
The NSMQ, an educational contest that has captured the hearts and minds of students, teachers, and viewers alike, has been a beacon of intellectual excellence in Ghana for 30 remarkable years. This recognition as the 'TV Programme of the Year' underscores its continued relevance and impact in promoting science and mathematics education across the nation.
The 'New Media Campaign of the Year' award recognises the NSMQ programme's innovative and effective use of digital platforms to engage and educate the public. In an era where information flows seamlessly through the digital landscape, this accolade serves as a testament to the programme's commitment to harnessing the power of new media for educational advancement, especially as it marks three decades of educational leadership.
These awards come at a time when both Primetime Limited and the NSMQ are celebrating 30 years of dedicated hard work, commitment, and devotion to nurturing the scientific skills of secondary school students in Ghana. It aligns with the programme's significant role in mobilizing resources and support for the development of STEM education infrastructure in Ghana, coordinated by various alumni groups, who are consciously working to strengthen the performance of their former schools in this friendly competition.
As the NSMQ continues to inspire generations of young minds, the programme's remarkable achievement serves as a reminder that dedication, innovation, and a passion for education can indeed lead to triumph. With these two awards in hand, the NSMQ programme looks forward to an even brighter future of enlightening minds and fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity in Ghana.
