The heat was on at Auditorium 900 as three determined schools, Vakpo SHS, Awudome SHS, and Akumfi Ameyaw SHTS clashed in a thrilling battle of wits, speed, and strategy in the second day of the contest of the National Science & Maths Quiz National Championship. From the very first bell, tension filled the air, and supporters were glued to their seats, eager to see how the contest would unfold.

The Round One kicked off with all three schools showing promise. Calm but confident, the contestants tackled each question presented by the quiz mistress. At the end of the round, Awudome SHS surged ahead with 19 points, leaving Akumfi Ameyaw SHTS at 10 points, while Vakpo SHS closed the round with eight points.

By the end of the round, Awudome SHS had 33 points, Akumfi Ameyaw SHTS 14, and Vakpo SHS trailed behind with eight points.

Round Three, the “Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star”, brought the “Problem of the Day,” a high-stakes moment demanding deep thinking and teamwork. Vakpo SHS, in a surprising twist, rose to the occasion and scored four points, edging past Awudome SHS, who followed with three points. Akumfi Ameyaw SHTS struggled in this round, securing only one point out of 10.

With consistent responses, they maintained their dominance, finishing the round with 43 points. Akumfi Ameyaw SHTS improved their tally to 22 points, while Vakpo SHS edged forward to 13 points.

As the contest neared its end, the final round, the 'GOIL Riddle Bonanza,' kept the audience tense, eyes fixed on the stage.
