Adisadel College Storms into Quarter-final Stage with Record-Breaking 82 Points and Double Awards

The Black and White boys from Adisadel College have reaffirmed their status as NSMQ giants after an outstanding performance that saw them amass 82 points to reclaim their seed and qualify for the Quarter-final Stage of the National Championship.

The contest, which featured Adisadel College, St. Hubert Seminary SHS, and Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS, began on an electrifying note as supporters of Adisadel College filled the auditorium with chants that set the tone for the intense academic battle ahead.

In Round One, General Knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, Adisadel College took an early lead with 29 points, followed by St. Hubert Seminary SHS with 15 points, while Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS followed with eight points.

The Santaclausians maintained their momentum in Round Two, Trustur AI Speed Race, adding 19 more points to widen the gap to 48 points, while St. Hubert Seminary SHS and Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS managed 18 and 11 points, respectively.


In Round Three, Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star (Problem of the Day), which featured a challenging chemistry question, saw all three schools attempt the problem with varying success. Adisadel College secured eight out of 10 points, Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS earned six points, and St. Hubert Seminary SHS managed five points.


Adisadel College further stretched their dominance in Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True/False, adding a remarkable 13 points to reach 69 points. St. Hubert Seminary SHS and Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS both ended the round with 24 points each.

The climax came in Round Five, GOIL Riddle Bonanza, where Adisadel College swept all four riddles, sealing an emphatic victory with 82 points. Their performance earned them the GOIL Riddle Bonanza Award worth ₵1,600 and the Pepsodent Highest Scorer Award worth ₵2,000, bringing their total cash prize to ₵3,600.


The auditorium flared up as Adisadel supporters broke into jubilant chants, celebrating their school’s brilliance and energy-filled return to the top. At the end of the contest, Adisadel College finished with 82 points, while St. Hubert Seminary SHS and Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ SHS both ended with 24 points.
