Delivering the welcome address, Nana Akua A. Mensa-Bonsu highlighted the series of engagements that preceded the Sci-Tech Fair, including 15 mentorship sessions held over the past three weeks across senior high schools in Accra and Tema. She noted that this decentralised approach was designed to reach a larger number of students, foster richer interaction, and offer learners the opportunity to gain insights directly from STEM experts.

This new approach enabled us to reach a much larger number of students than in previous years since the programme was added to the STEM Festival. It gave students the opportunity to learn, ask questions and engage with the future of artificial intelligence in a setting that felt natural and comfortable for them.” She noted.

She concluded by expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors, mentors and all stakeholders whose support contributed to the programme’s success.

Following her remarks, the Chairman of Primetime Limited, Dr. Kweku Mensa-Bonsu, delivered his solidarity message. He urged all stakeholders to support the young innovators so that their projects do not remain merely as exhibits on display tables, but grow into real products and services capable of solving real-world problems.

“What we must do now is help them move from “good ideas” to “working solutions.” That is the challenge before all of us - industry, government, educators and parents. If we support these young innovators well, their projects will not end up on display tables only: they will grow into real products and services that solve real problems.” She noted.
