NSMQ 2026: THEY’RE THROUGH! Wesley Grammar School, West Africa SHS, Anum Presby SHS and Asanteman SHS Book One-eighth Stage!

Day Three of the National Science & Maths Quiz continued at the Main Auditorium of the University of Cape Coast, hosted by quiz mistress Dr Anita Adjoa Oppong, as four contests produced fresh qualifiers for the next round of the competition.
Contest 22, featured Yilo Krobo Senior High School, Wesley Grammar School and Kofi Adjei Senior High Technical School. Wesley Grammar School took control early, closing Round One, the General Questions round, on 20 points ahead of Kofi Adjei SHTS on 19 and Yilo Krobo SHS on 14 points.
The lead widened in Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, with Wesley Grammar School moving to 30 points, Kofi Adjei Senior High Technical School to 22, and Yilo Krobo Senior High School holding at 14.
Wesley Grammar School extended its advantage further in Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Problem of the Day, reaching 33 points, as Kofi Adjei SHTS School scored 25 points while Yilo Krobo SHS advanced to 17 points.
In Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True/False round, Wesley Grammar School surged to 43 points, Kofi Adjei SHTS climbed to 35 points, and Yilo Krobo SHS jumped to 24.
Wesley Grammar School held its lead through the final round, answering the GOIL Riddle Bonanza to reach 46 points and secure victory. Kofi Adjei Senior High Technical School followed with 41 points, while Yilo Krobo Senior High School had 27 points.

Contest 28 featured, Manya Krobo Senior High School, St. Charles Minor Seminary and Anum Presby Senior High School. Manya Krobo Senior High School and Anum Presby Senior High School shared the early lead, each finishing Round One, with 15 points, while St Charles Minor Seminary had 11 points.
Anum Presby Senior High School moved into the lead in Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, reaching 19 points. St. Charles Minor Sem. followed with 16 points, while Manya Krobo SHS slipped to 13 points..
The lead changed hands again in Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Problem of the Day, as St. Charles Minor Sem. moved ahead with 23 points. Anum Presby SHS remained close behind on 22, while Manya Krobo SHS had 14.
Anum Presby Senior High School regained the lead in Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True/False round, moving to 29 points, ahead of St. Charles Minor Sem. on 27 and Manya Krobo Senior High School on 15.
Anum Presby Senior High School held on in Round Five, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, to win the contest with 35 points. St Charles Minor Sem. finished second on 30 points, while Manya Krobo Senior High School ended the contest on 18 points.

The day's final contest saw Asanteman Senior High School produce the most commanding performance of the session. The school shared the early lead with Senya Senior High School in Round One, both finishing on 25 points, while Awe Senior High Technical School trailed on 11.
Asanteman Senior High School pulled clear in Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, moving to 36 points, as Senya Senior High School reached 27 and Awe Senior High Technical School advanced to 13.
Asanteman Senior High School extended its advantage further in Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Problem of the Day, reaching 46 points, while Senya Senior High School moved to 35 and Awe Senior High Technical School rose to 17. Asanteman Senior High School went on to close Round Five, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, on 68 points. Senya Senior High School finished second with 48 points, while Awe Senior High Technical School ended on 33 points.
Asanteman Senior High School's dominant display also earned the school the Pepsodent Top Scorer prize, GH₵ 1,000, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star prize, GH₵ 2,000 and the Jupay Money Transfer prize worth GH₵ 500.
With these results, Wesley Grammar School, West Africa Senior High School, Anum Presby Senior High School and Asanteman Senior High School all book their places in the next stage of the 2026 National Science & Maths Quiz.
