NSMQ 2026: Osei Tutu SHS Books Quarter-final Spot!

Osei Tutu Senior High School secured a place in the Quarter-final Stage of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after defeating Presby Senior High Technical School, Osino, and Ahantaman Girls' Senior High School in Contest Four of the One-eighth Stage at the Main Auditorium.

Osei Tutu Senior High School's 10 points in Round One were enough to put the school ahead of Presby Senior High Technical School, Osino, on seven points and Ahantaman Girls' Senior High School on four, and that early advantage was never threatened.

Osei Tutu Senior High School extended its lead in Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, adding 16 points to reach 26. Ahantaman Girls' Senior High School moved to nine points, while Presby Senior High Technical School, Osino, advanced to eight.

A perfect score of 10 out of 10 in Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Problem of the Day, saw Ahantaman Girls' Senior High School make significant gains, moving to 19 points and earning the round's GH₵2,400 prize. The performance, however, was not enough to change the lead, as Osei Tutu Senior High School remained ahead with 25 points, while Presby Senior High Technical School, Osino, followed with 17.

In Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True/False round, Osei Tutu Senior High School further extended its lead, reaching 41 points and earning the GH₵700 Jupay Clean Sheet Prize. Presby Senior High Technical School, Osino, moved to 30 points, while Ahantaman Girls' Senior High School advanced to 23 points.

In the final round, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, Osei Tutu Senior High School closed the contest on 41 points to secure victory. Presby Senior High Technical School, Osino, finished second with 33 points, while Ahantaman Girls' Senior High School ended on 29 points.
