SMS Auditorium, August 26,2026

The SMS Auditorium opened the One-eighth Stage of the National Championship with a commanding performance from Keta Senior High Technical School, who defeated Kadjebi Asato Senior High School and Anum Presby Senior High School to maintain their seeded status and secure a place in the Quarter-final Stage.

The Dzo Lali’s led from Round One and maintained their advantage throughout the contest, finishing with 56 points. Anum Presby SHS followed with 28 points, while Kadjebi Asato SHS ended with 19 points. Before the contest got underway, Quiz Mistress Dr. Gladys Odey Schwinger interacted with the contestants, helping to ease the tension as the teams prepared for the high-stakes contest.

Keta SHTS took the lead in Round One, the General Questions round, capitalising on several bonus opportunities to finish the round with 24 points. Anum Presby SHS followed with 17 points, while Kadjebi Asato SHS had nine.

Keta SHTS extended its advantage in Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, where the school continued to capitalise on missed attempts by its opponents. Keta SHTS surged to 43 points, while Anum Presby SHS remained on 15 and Kadjebi Asato SHS moved to 12.

Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Problem of the Day, presented the contestants with a Chemistry problem. Anum Presby SHS made the most of the round, scoring six of the available 10 points. Keta SHTS and Kadjebi Asato SHS failed to score, but Keta retained a substantial lead.

Ahead of Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True/False round, Keta SHTS and Kadjebi Asato SHS made substitutions to strengthen their teams for the closing stages. The changes, however, did not alter the contest's direction, as Keta SHTS extended its lead to 53 points. Anum Presby SHS moved to 28 points, while Kadjebi Asato SHS reached 19.

In Round Five, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, all three schools missed the first three riddles before Keta SHTS answered the final riddle correctly to add three points and finish the contest on 56 points.

Keta SHTS maintained its seeded status and secured a place in the Quarter-final Stage, with Anum Presby SHS finishing second on 28 points and Kadjebi Asato SHS ending the contest on 19 points.
