NSMQ 2026: Chemu SHTS and Sogakope SHS Each Book One-eighth Stage Spots!

Main Auditorium - August 24, 2026 The final day of the Preliminary Stage at the Main Auditorium featured two contests, with Chemu Senior High Technical School winning the first contest, after a tie-breaker and Sogakope Senior High School closing out the day with victory in the final contest to secure its place in the One-eighth Stage.


In the first contest, Chemu SHTS, Saviour SHS and Wallahs Academy battled for a place in the next stage. Saviour SHS lead in Round One, scoring 21 points, three ahead of Chemu Senior High Technical School's 18. The school extended its advantage to 33 points in the Trustur AI Speed Race.


The contest reached a high point in the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Problem of the Day, as all three schools scored a perfect 10 out of 10. Their performances earned Chemu SHT, Saviour SHS and Wallahs Academy the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Prize, worth GH₵2,000 each.


Chemu SHTS School eventually forced the contest into a tie-breaker with Saviour Senior High School and emerged victorious to book its place in the One-eighth Stage.



 Sogakope SHS Truimphs Over Apam SHS and Okomfo Anokye SHS to Book One-eighth Stage!


In the final contest, Sogakope Senior High School faced Apam Senior High School and Okomfo Anokye Senior High School.


Sogakope SHS and Apam SHS shared the lead after Round One, with 18 points each, while Okomfo Anokye Senior High School had 10 points.


Sogakope SHS took the lead in Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, moving to 32 points, while Apam SHS remained on 18 and Okomfo Anokye SHS advanced to 14.


In Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star, Sogakope SHS was still leading and maintained it through Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True/False round, reaching 47 points by the end of the round. Apam SHS had 28 points, while Okomfo Anokye SHS had 20 points.


Sogakope SHS finished Round Five, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza, with 56 points to win the contest. Apam SHS finished second with 37 points, while Okomfo Anokye SHS ended with 27 points. Sogakope SHS also claimed the Pepsodent Top Scorer Award, worth GH₵1,000.
