University Practice Senior High School made an epic return to the National Championship of the 2025 NSMQ, with a dominant victory over Ahantaman Girls’ SHS and Mim SHS. The school, which suffered elimination at the One-eighth Stage last year after losing to Mfantsipim School, has returned this year with renewed focus and energy.

For Ahantaman Girls’ SHS, this year marked a significant comeback, having failed to make it to the National Championship last year. Mim SHS, entered the contest with high hopes of extending their winning streak.

Round One set the tone for what became a masterclass by University Practice SHS.  Their quick responses and confidence earned them consistent points. Whenever their opponents faltered, University Practice SHS swiftly claimed the bonus marks. Their consistency paid off as they ended the round with 19 points. Ahantaman Girls’ SHS followed with 14 points, while Mim SHS trailed with eight points.

In the “Truster AI Speed Race”, University Practice SHS displayed remarkable speed and accuracy, taking charge of the first three questions and widening their lead. By the end of the round, they had accumulated 36 points, leaving Ahantaman Girls’ SHS at 20 points and Mim SHS at eight points.

The Chemistry Problem of the Day in the “Prudential Bank NSMQ Star Round”, however, tested all three schools. The complex question resulted in several missteps across all schools. University Practice SHS managed to squeeze out two points to extend their lead to 38, while Ahantaman Girls’ SHS and Mim SHS failed to score, maintaining their previous totals.
