NSMQ 2025: Okuapemman School Dominates with 76 Points to Secure One-eighth Stage Slot

After a stellar performance, Okuapemman School booked their place in the One-eighth Stage of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz , finishing with an impressive 76 points. Their victory earned them the Pepsodent Highest Scorer of the Day Award, worth ₵1,000.

The contest, which featured Okuapemman School, Lapaz Community SHS and Yendi SHS, began on a fiery note as all three schools battled for the lead. At the end of Round One, Okuapemman School established early dominance with 28 points, while Lapaz Community SHS and Yendi SHS followed with 12 and six points, respectively.

Okuapemman carried the momentum into Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, by adding 26 points to extend their total to 53, leaving Lapaz Community SHS and Yendi SHS behind with 12 and six points.

The Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star (Problem of the Day) featured a Biology question, with both Okuapemman and Lapaz Community SHS earning four points each. Yendi SHS, however, struggled with the problem and failed to score in the round.

In Round Four, the Jupay Money Transfer True or False round, all three schools displayed confidence and composure. Okuapemman School, maintaining their impressive run, answered seven out of eight questions correctly, raising their total to 70 points. Lapaz Community SHS followed with 29 points, while Yendi SHS improved slightly to 19 points.

The contest ended with the “GOIL Riddle Bonanza”, Round Five, where Okuapemman School and Lapaz Community SHS competed keenly. Both schools answered two riddles correctly, adding six points each. Okuapemman School sealed their victory with a final score of 76 points, while Lapaz Community SHS finished with 32 points and Yendi SHS remained at 19 points.

At the end of the contest, the auditorium erupted in cheers as Okuapemman School was crowned Pepsodent Highest Scorer of the Day, a well-earned recognition for their exceptional display of intellect, teamwork, and speed.
