NSMQ 2025: Mpraeso SHS Stands Firm to Secure Quarter-final Spot

The second contest of the One-eighth Stage featured KNUST SHS, Sunyani SHS, and Mpraeso SHS. Mpraeso SHS joined the contest as a seeded school. Before the start of the contest, all schools expressed hope of advancing to the next stage of the competition. The quiz began on a relaxed note, with all three schools showcasing their academic brilliance and knowledge by answering as many questions as possible.

At the end of the first round, Mpraeso SHS led with 18 points, Sunyani SHS followed with 15 points, and KNUST SHS had 13 points.

In Round Two, the Trustur AI Speed Race, the intensity of the contest increased as the round tested the speed and accuracy of the schools. All three teams quickened their pace, attempting to answer questions correctly before time ran out. At the end of the round, Mpraeso SHS maintained the lead with 19 points, while Sunyani SHS and KNUST SHS tied at 15 points each.

In Round Three, the Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Problem of the Day, Mpraeso SHS secured four points, KNUST SHS followed with two points, while Sunyani SHS failed to score.

In Round Four, the “Jupay Money Transfer True/False” round, the fate of the schools hung in the balance as they struggled with the true or false statements. The tension was palpable as the round drew to an end. At the close of the round, Mpraeso SHS secured 30 points, Sunyani SHS followed with 25 points, and KNUST SHS finished with 21 points.

In the fifth and final round, the “GOIL Riddle Bonanza”, the round that would determine the fate of the schools, supporters were on edge, awaiting the final outcome of the contest. In the end, Mpraeso SHS booked a spot in the Quarter-finals with 30 points, Sunyani SHS followed with 28 points, and KNUST SHS finished with 24 points.
