NSMQ 2025: Mankranso SHS Storms into Quarter-finals Stage as Adonten SHS Loses Its Seed

The One-eighth Stage of the 2025 NSMQ National Championship kicked off with a contest featuring Adonten Senior High School, St. Paul’s Senior High School, Denu, and Mankranso Senior High School. Mankranso SHS advanced to the Quarter-finals, while seeded Adonten SHS shockingly lost its seed after finishing third in the contest.

The atmosphere was calm, with all schools expressing high hopes of qualifying for the Quarter-finals Stage. The first round ended with Mankranso SHS in the lead with 13 points, followed by St. Paul’s SHS with nine points, while the seeded school, Adonten SHS, trailed with six points.

Adonten SHS bounced back in the “Trustur AI Speed Race”, answering questions consecutively but slipping along the way, which cost them some points. Mankranso SHS capitalised on their errors to earn 18 points, leaving Adonten SHS and St. Paul’s SHS with 11 and eight points, respectively.

The Mathematical Problem of the Day saw contestants work in teams to provide solutions. Mankranso SHS boosted their score with six out of ten, while St. Paul’s SHS followed closely with five out of ten. Adonten SHS managed two points. No school, however, was able to win the “Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Award”.

Mankranso SHS and Adonten SHS made substitutions ahead of the “JuPay Money Transfer True or False” round, which changed the course of the contest. Mankranso SHS surged further into the lead with 37 points, St. Paul’s SHS improved to 20 points, while Adonten SHS struggled to answer any question and remained at 14 points.

In the “GOIL Riddle Bonanza”, Mankranso SHS answered two riddles to finish their contest with 43 points. St Paul's answered the third riddle and followed with 23 points. Adonten SHS failed to answer and finished with 14 points, losing their seeded position.
