NSMQ 2025: Mankranso SHS Makes Triumphant Return to One-eighth Stage

Mankranso SHS made their mark last year but exited at the One-eighth Stage. This year, they have returned stronger and more determined, reclaiming their place at the same stage with renewed focus and drive.

The atmosphere in the auditorium was calm yet electric. Cheers and applause echoed from the enthusiastic supporters, with affectionate nicknames for contestants being shouted from every corner. The contest began with a slow simmer, building up excitement with every point scored. St. Joseph Seminary SHS took an early lead with 23 points, closely followed by Mankranso SHS with 22 points and Sekondi College with 16 points.


Round Two, the ‘Trustur AI Speed Race’, tested the contestants’ speed and accuracy. It was a close contest, with all three schools showing quick thinking and composure under pressure. By the end of the round, Mankranso SHS led with 29 points, while St. Joseph Seminary SHS and Sekondi College followed closely with 22 points each.

In Round Three, the “Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star,” also known as the “Problem of the Day” round, the contest intensified. Mankranso SHS once again proved their mettle, securing three points, followed by Sekondi College with two points, while St. Joseph Seminary SHS earned no points. The pressure was mounting.


Before the onset of Round Four, the “Jupay Money Transfer True/False” round, Mankranso SHS made a tactical move, substituting Augustine with Oforiwaa. The strategy paid off brilliantly. Oforiwaa confidently handled most of the questions, and her accuracy propelled Mankranso’s score to a commanding 45 points. Sekondi College climbed to 31, while St. Joseph Seminary SHS improved to 29.

The final showdown came with the thrilling “GOIL Riddle Bonanza,” a round that tested accuracy and composure under pressure. Although Mankranso SHS maintained their lead and sealed victory with 45 points, it was St. Joseph Seminary SHS who stole the spotlight in this round, correctly answering three riddles to clinch the GOIL Riddle Bonanza award. They finished with a respectable 38 points, followed by Sekondi College with 31.

Mankranso SHS has not only qualified for the One-eighth Stage once again, but this time with undeniable flair and confidence.
