Auditorium 900 - October 20, 2025
After a disappointing exit at the hands of Oyoko Methodist Senior High School in last year’s National Science & Maths Quiz at the Preliminary Stage, Kwahu Tafo SHS returned to the 2025 competition with renewed determination, successfully booking a spot in the One-eighth Stage after a stellar performance, in the Preliminary Stage of the National Championship.

The contest, which saw Kwahu Tafo SHS face off against Edinaman SHS and Tarkwa SHS at auditorium 900, began on a smooth note, with all three schools expressing strong confidence in qualifying for the next stage. Brimming with enthusiasm, the teams charged into the first round, each hoping to take an early lead.
Kwahu Tafo SHS took an early advantage by topping Round One with 24 points. Tarkwa SHS followed with 15 points, while Edinaman SHS lagged with 10 points.
Ahead of Round Two, known as the “Trustur AI Speed Race”, Edinaman SHS made a tactical move by substituting Christian Arthur in place of Bismark, hoping to improve their pace and accuracy.

Kwahu Tafo SHS, however, continued their aggressive push, answering a flurry of questions and securing 25 points in the round. Tarkwa SHS added 18 points to their tally, while Edinaman SHS finished off with 14 points.
In Round Three, the “Prudential Life NSMQ Star”, teams tackled the “Problem of the Day” with a total of 10 points up for grabs. Both Edinaman SHS and Kwahu Tafo SHS earned four points, while Tarkwa SHS forfeited their points due to a rule violation.
By the end of Round Four, the Jupay True or False round, Kwahu Tafo SHS held on to their lead with 42 points, while Tarkwa SHS and Edinaman SHS trailed closely behind, tied at 28 points each.

The fifth and final round, which is also known as the “Goil Riddle Bonanza” saw a determined effort from all three schools. Kwahu Tafo SHS held on to their lead, finishing with 42 points. Tarkwa SHS made a strong push to end with 34 points, while Edinaman SHS finished off with 31.
Kwahu Tafo SHS’s dominant performance not only secured them a place in the One-eighth Stage but also served as sweet redemption after last year’s early exit.
