After making it to the One-eighth Stage and bowing out last year, Armed Forces Senior High Technical School (SHSTS) returned to this year’s National Science & Maths Quiz with renewed determination.

From the very first question, the contestants from Armed Forces SHTS displayed precision, confidence, and focus. Their quick responses and teamwork earned the admiration of the audience, whose cheers and applause echoed through the auditorium. At the end of Round One, Armed Forces SHTS led with 18 points, while Tepa SHS and Kalpohin SHS followed closely with 15 points each, setting the stage for a thrilling contest.
Round Two, the “Trustur AI Speed Race,” demanded both speed and accuracy. Tepa SHS fought hard to close the gap, but the Armed Forces SHTS team remained composed, sharp, and strategic, determined to maintain their lead. When the round ended, Armed Forces SHTS still topped the scoreboard with 25 points, followed by Tepa SHS with 20 points and Kalpohin SHS with 15 points.

Before Round Three, the “Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star Problem of the Day”, both teams made strategic substitutions. Tepa SHS brought in Jesse to replace Bismark, while Armed Forces SHS introduced Lois in place of Hayford. This round tested analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and by its end, Armed Forces SHS had secured two points, while Tepa SHS and Kalpohin SHS each managed a point out of a possible 10 points.
In Round Four, the “Jupay Money Transfer True/False Round”, Peter replaced Elliot for Kalpohin SHS, injecting fresh energy into the contest. It was a calmer yet highly strategic round, but Armed Forces maintained their composure and accuracy. By the end, they extended their lead with an impressive 40 points, followed by Tepa SHS with 27 points and Kalpohin SHS with 25 points.

The tension peaked in Round Five, the GOIL Riddle Bonanza the final and decisive stage of the contest. Every question counted, and the atmosphere was electric as all three schools fought to the very end. Yet again, Armed Forces SHS proved their mettle, finishing strong with 43 points. Tepa SHS followed with 37 points, while Kalpohin SHS concluded the contest with 29 points.
