NSMQ 2025: Aggrey Memorial and Kwahu Tafo Exit as Accra Academy Moves to Quarter-final Stage

In an intense contest on the final day of the One-eighth Stage, Accra Academy, Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS and Kwahu Tafo SHS battled fiercely for a spot in the Quarter-finals of the 2025 NSMQ National Championship. In the end, the Bleoo Boys emerged victorious with 48 points.

The contest opened with both Accra Academy and Aggrey Memorial displaying strong intent, keeping supporters on edge as they exchanged correct answers. Aggrey Memorial ended Round One narrowly in the lead with 21 points, just one point ahead of Accra Academy’s 20 points. Kwahu Tafo SHS followed with 12 points.

The “Trustur AI Speed Race” Round brought a twist as Accra Academy charged forward, answering a series of questions correctly to seize the lead with 29 points. Aggrey Memorial dropped a point to end the round with 20 points, while Kwahu Tafo trailed with 13 points.

In the “Prudential Life Insurance NSMQ Star” Round, Aggrey Memorial earned four points for partially solving the Problem of the Day. Accra Academy also made an attempt but missed a key label in their solution, securing three points. Kwahu Tafo, however, failed to score, having been unable to work out the problem.

The excitement intensified in the “JuPay Money Transfer True or False” Round, as Accra Academy maintained their composure to extend their lead to 45 points. Aggrey Memorial and Kwahu Tafo followed with 31 and 23 points, respectively.

In the “GOIL Riddle Bonanza” Round, none of the schools solved the first riddle. Each team managed to answer one riddle correctly before the contest wrapped up. Accra Academy sealed victory with 48 points, securing their place in the Quarter-finals. Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS followed with 34 points, while Kwahu Tafo SHS exited with 26 points.
